Article 01
We’re strategists. AI is the implementer.
The job used to be doing the labor. Now the job is directing it.
We set the intention, chart the direction, and put agents to work. Somebody has to be the one steering. That’s the seat we train for.
“I wasn’t hired to do labor. I’m here to manage agents and direct them.”

Article 02
Jack of none, master of all trades.
The old proverb warned: jack of all trades, master of none. AI flipped it.
One person who can direct agents can sit in almost any chair: marketing, ops, code, design, support. We don’t master every trade. We master the directing of them.
“Give me a month in your shoes and I will figure out how to do your job better with AI.”

Article 03
Code is a commodity. Incantations are the craft.
The artifact got cheap. The skill that summons it didn’t.
Knowing what to ask for, how to specify it, and how to judge what comes back… that’s the durable craft. Tools churn every quarter. The craft compounds. It’s why we teach a methodology, not a tool stack.
Article 04
Own your agents. Swap your models.
An agent you build is yours: the knowledge base, the workflows, the incantations. The model underneath is a rental, and rentals get swapped.
No single AI company gets to be a dependency we can’t walk away from. We’ve all watched what lock-in does to a business. Not us.
Article 05
Your pre-AI life is your unfair advantage.
Everything you learned the hard way, before AI existed, is exactly what AI can’t supply: judgment, taste, knowing how the work actually works when it touches real people.
The one who has done the job can now direct the agents that do the job. Your experience didn’t expire. It got leverage.
Article 06
Falling behind is a myth.
The industry’s favorite sales pitch is fear: keep up or get left behind. We’ve lived the opposite.
The tools advance so fast that time away can set you up to skip a generation. What took weeks of fighting a year ago takes an hour today. So step away when life calls for it. The crew keeps watch, and we’ll catch you up when you’re back.
Article 07
Every roadblock is a navigation problem.
AI gatekeepers now filter resumes, contracts, and inboxes before a human ever looks. Heartless? Usually. Final? No.
Captains read the system, find the channel, and route around. One of us recently got past a company’s recruiting wall with an agent, a 31-page culture doc, and a Carly Rae Jepsen lyric. It reached the Head of Culture directly. True story. Ask about it on a call.
Article 08
A job, a client, a product: different vessels, same captain.
AI is dissolving the line between employment and entrepreneurship. Getting hired looks like landing a client now. Landing a client looks like publishing your work. Publishing looks like a personal brand.
It’s one game: build leverage, show your work, and acquire the work you want on your terms. Some of us are employed, some consult, some run products, and most will mix all three across a career. The vessel changes. The captain doesn’t.
They can eliminate your position. They can’t take your rank.
